Finding live sport near Heathrow depends entirely on what you want to watch. Some pubs have every channel going, others stick to free-to-air. Here's the honest rundown, no spin, no pretending we show things we don't, and no wasting your time turning up to the wrong pub on a Saturday afternoon.
What The Anchor Actually Shows
Let's get this out of the way first:
We show live sport on BBC, ITV and Channel 4. We don't have Sky Sports or TNT Sports.
It's been terrestrial channels only since January 2025. If the game you're after is only on a subscription channel, we're not your place for that, and we'd rather tell you upfront than have you drive over and find out the hard way.

What The Anchor Is Great For
Where we genuinely come into our own is major international tournaments. World Cup, Six Nations, Euros, the big ones that bring everyone together.
The atmosphere during a Six Nations England match or a World Cup knockout game is brilliant. Properly brilliant. You've got the whole pub watching the same game, reacting together, groaning together, and, on a good day, celebrating together. It's communal in a way that a sports bar with 40 screens just isn't. There's something about everyone being focused on the same game that creates an atmosphere you can't replicate by splitting attention across a dozen fixtures.
And when these tournaments are on BBC, ITV or Channel 4, we show the games. No subscription needed, no awkward "we've only got it on one screen in the corner" compromises.
When to Go Elsewhere
We believe in being straight with you. If the game you want is only on Sky Sports or TNT Sports, we can't show it, and a pub with those channels is the right shout for that game.

What Makes The Anchor Different for Sport
When we do show sport, the experience is different from a chain sports bar, and we think it's better for the right kind of fan:
Proper pub food during the match. Not just a basket of nachos and a prayer. Food is served during kitchen hours: burgers, pies, fish and chips, brought to your table. The kitchen times are on our find us page.
Free parking. This matters more than people think. Six Nations matches that start at lunchtime, World Cup games that go to extra time, you need somewhere to park without worrying about a ticket or a meter running out. We've got 20 free spaces.
Beer garden for half-time. Step outside, get some fresh air, have a half-time debrief in the garden. Beats standing in a corridor or queueing for a packed bar.
Dog-friendly. Brought the dog? No problem. They're welcome throughout the pub, on a lead, and a fair few of our regulars bring theirs along for the big games.
Seven minutes from Terminal 5. If you're killing time before a flight or you've just landed and there's a match on, we're closer than almost any other pub to the airport. Free parking, quick pint, catch the second half, head to your terminal.
