Christmas at The Anchor is a village pub Christmas: your own table, a proper roast dinner, and a quiz on a Wednesday. We are in Stanwell Moor, seven minutes from Heathrow Terminal 5 and eight from Staines, with 20 free parking spaces.
This is what is happening here this festive season, and when we are open.
Christmas dinner, 10 November to 20 December 2026
Our festive menu runs from 10 November to 20 December 2026. The 20th is included, so a sitting that day can be booked.
- Sittings are Tuesday to Saturday, plus Sunday between 1pm and 6pm. Mondays are not available, the kitchen is closed.
- Group size is 4 guests or more, on any day.
- Two and three courses cost less Tuesday to Thursday than Friday to Sunday. The 1 course is the same price every day.
- Everyone chooses their own courses. Every guest has a main; a starter and a dessert are optional. Guests at the same table can have different numbers of courses.
- Choices come to us 7 days before your booking date for the 2 and 3 course price points.
- A £10 per person deposit applies to a Christmas table booking, 4 to 20 guests. It comes straight off your bill, and it is refunded in full if you cancel up to and including seven days before your booking date.

Groups of more than 20 are a private booking rather than a table booking. Between 21 and 29 guests we arrange it as a private booking so the space and the food suit the size of your group, and from 30 guests a festive buffet is an option too.
A Christmas party of more than 20 is a private booking, so it pays the private hire deposit, not £10 per person. A £250 booking and damage deposit secures your date. It's held separately from your bill and refunded after the event, less any documented deductions.
Festive nights out
Our quiz, music bingo and cash bingo nights carry on through November and December with a festive twist. Prices and dates are on what's on. The festive nights for 2026 are:
- Tinsel & Tipples Christmas Tasting Night, Friday 20 November
- Tinsel & Trivia Quiz Night, Wednesday 2 December, our normal quiz with a festive nod
- Sleigh My Name: Festive Music Bingo, Friday 11 December
- Christmas Jackpot Cash Bingo, Wednesday 16 December
If your group wants more than a meal, a DJ can be arranged on request for a Christmas booking. It is not part of any package, so just ask us when you enquire.
Are you open on Christmas Day?
Yes, for drinks only, from 12pm to 3pm.
There is no food service on Christmas Day, so there is no Christmas dinner, no Christmas lunch and no festive menu on the 25th. If you want the full festive meal, that is what the 10 November to 20 December season is for.
Come down for a drink with the neighbours on Christmas Day, then go home to your own dinner. It is one of the nicest three hours of our year.
Over Christmas and New Year
On Christmas Day we're open for drinks only, 12pm to 3pm, with no food. We're closed on Boxing Day and on New Year's Day. Our kitchen's last day of the year is Sunday 20 December, and it's back on Tuesday 12 January. The bar stays open throughout, apart from those two days.
New Year's Eve
We stay open until 1am on New Year's Eve, with a DJ and a midnight countdown.
For anyone local, that is a night out you can walk home from, with no taxi to book and no surge fare at 1am.
