Christmas at The Anchor is a village pub Christmas: your own table, a proper roast dinner, and a quiz on a Tuesday. We are in Stanwell Moor, seven minutes from Heathrow Terminal 5 and eight from Staines, with around 20 free parking spaces.
This is what is happening here this festive season, and when we are open.
Christmas dinner, 10 November to 20 December 2026
Our festive menu runs from 10 November to 20 December 2026. The 20th is included, so a sitting that day can be booked.
- Sittings are Tuesday to Saturday, lunchtime or evening, plus Sunday between 1pm and 6pm. Mondays are not available, the kitchen is closed.
- Group size is 4 guests or more, on any day. Tuesday to Thursday is our weekday rate, so a midweek date is the cheaper one.
- Everyone chooses their own courses. Every guest has a main; a starter and a dessert are optional. Guests at the same table can have different numbers of courses.
- Choices come to us 7 days before your booking date for the 2 and 3 course price points.
- A £10 per person deposit applies to every Christmas booking, whatever the size. It comes straight off your bill, and it is refundable in full if you cancel more than 7 days before.

Groups of more than 20 are a private booking rather than a table booking. Between 21 and 29 guests we arrange it as a private booking so the space and the food suit the size of your group, and from 30 guests a festive buffet is an option too.
Festive nights out
Our regular event nights carry on through November and December with a festive twist, and they are free to walk into unless the event page says otherwise:
- Quiz nights, including our Christmas quiz
- Music bingo, with a festive playlist in December
- Cash bingo

If your group wants more than a meal, a DJ can be arranged on request for a Christmas booking. It is not part of any package, so just ask us when you enquire.
Are you open on Christmas Day?
Yes, for drinks only, from 12pm to 3pm.
There is no food service on Christmas Day, so there is no Christmas dinner, no Christmas lunch and no festive menu on the 25th. If you want the full festive meal, that is what the 10 November to 20 December season is for.
Come down for a drink with the neighbours on Christmas morning, then go home to your own dinner. It is one of the nicest three hours of our year.
New Year's Eve
We stay open until 1am on New Year's Eve, with a DJ and a midnight countdown.
For anyone local, that is a night out you can walk home from, with no taxi to book and no surge fare at 1am.
